Feeling good?

suosiekoa

If you would like to give your karma a boost and feel better about yourself then we recommend you go over to the new SuosiEkoa.fi site and find out where you can buy quality ethical and ecological goods in Finland.

Zipipop was very happy to be involved in the development of this site, which has been created by Tiina Aulanko (Think Tomorrow) to promote ethical and ecological consumption, and to encourage sustainable lifestyles by sharing information and experience between people interested in responsible purchasing.

The site is currently only in Finnish, however, it is perfectly usable through Google Translate.

The site was developed on our own Zipi Web Builder – check out the presentation below:

Zipipop Invest Tech Presentation

Tomorrow (9 June) at 14.00 Zipipop will be making an investor presetation at the Invest Tech Finland conference. We will outline our plans to develop our award-winning intention broadcasting service Zipiko into a dedicated "group activity organizer". This decision has been made after analyzing a year's worth of feedback and usage data. Our research also indicates that there is a trend towards lifestyle sports and activities that require a more dynamic form of organization, e.g. indoor football, rock-climbing, paintballing, poker,  etc. This is particualarly relevant for activities that need a few people out of a larger pool.  Facebook, Meetup, Upcoming, etc. cater nicely for more distant, fixed, public events, however, the new version of Zipiko will aim to cater for near-future more personal group "activities".

IIR Mobile Advertising Amsterdam 2009

This week Richard was a guest speaker at the IIR Mobile Advertising conference in Amsterdam. He participated on a panel debating the potential of location for leveraging more mobile advertising revenues. In addition to paying attention to context (i.e. location awareness), Richard introduced the importance of knowing people's intentions; since what is happening now is already the past, but what is happening next is the future. And this is very interesting to advertisers because they then have a chance to influence those intentions. He will be summarizing his view of the conference findings in a future post in the Zipi Theory blog.

Intention Broadcasting Video

An audio visual presentation introducing Intention Broadcasting:

Intention Broadcasting – An introduction from Zipipop on Vimeo.

The ability of human beings to share goals and coordinate intentions has helped us create cultures and civilizations. This ability is far from perfect, however, and many problems arise when we are ineffective in sharing our intentions.

Social media innovations, together with rapidly improving data sharing methodologies, are enabling individuals and groups to instantly disseminate, or ‘broadcast’, messages across many diverse networks. This phenomenon, combined with the growing use of social media services for sharing and coordinating intentions, led us to develop the concept of “intention broadcasting”.
